Mr Matjia KrKovic 


As a globally recognised expert in his field, Senior Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon Mr Matija Krkovic has worked with fellow surgeons, trainees and patients alike to guide them through the process, treatment and aftercare of limb reconstruction for many years.

His specialisms include limb reconstructions, limb length discrepancy, non-union fractures and osteomyelitis, osseointegration after limb amputation, complex orthopaedic injuries, post-traumatic complications on the lower leg, limb and joint reconstructions, and knee arthroplasty.

Mr Krkovic will be discussing the rational between limb salvage and amputation, which methods and techniques to use and when and what are the main restrictions and complications.


Ricky Rossiter


Having worked in care for 20 years, Ricky has held varied management positions and has a vast skill set and proven ability to empower staff teams to deliver good quality care, focusing on independent living.

Social Care in Action (SCiA) is a group of charitable social enterprises working together to improve health and wellbeing in local communities across Southern England. Last year, one of these social enterprises, SCA Care, launched a brand new bespoke service centred on supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health issues and complex care needs. We are now looking to expand this service and help to support your clients.

Dr Devdeep Ahuja


Dr Devdeep Ahuja is co-founder and clinical director of RTW Plus, a healthcare services company providing vocational and rehabilitation services.

With a background in physiotherapy, with complex trauma, amputations and chronic pain, case management and clinical leadership, Dr Ahuja has a wealth of experience including biopsychosocial approach to pain management, research and publication and virtual rehabilitation.

Dr Ahuja is passionate about the development of case management and is also a director of CMSUK leading the research subcommittee helping promote evidence-based practice in rehabilitation services in the UK. He has won numerous awards, the most recent being the VRA Research and Innovation Award in 2019.

Dr Ahuja will be discussing the challenges of case managing a client with chronic pain within the litigation environment.


Lauren Hurney


Lauren is a Partner at Irwin Mitchell, specializing in clinical negligence, adult ABI, and spinal injury. She believes that being involved with the client and securing interim funds as early as possible after injury to facilitate rehabilitation is of huge benefit to the individual.

Lauren will be discussing Accommodation Claims, how they have historically been processed and how a change in legislation will affect the face of how they are processed moving forward.

Verna Morris


Verna Morris is an independent Specialist Brain Injury Occupational Therapist. As well as providing home-based rehabilitation to people with acquired brain injury she also provides counselling to individuals and couples affected by brain injury and other disabilities. She integrates motivational interviewing into her clinical practice and lectures in the approach at Sheffield Hallam University and across the UK to a wide range of professionals including, Case Managers, Rehabilitation and Vocational Professionals, GPs, Counsellors and Public Health Workers. Verna is a member of the Global Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).

Scott Richardson


Following a serious accident whilst competing in the Isle of Man TT Races in 2000 which resulted in a below knee amputation, PACE Rehabilitation’s Business Development Manager, Scott Richardson, is able to assist clients with first-hand experience of what life is like as an amputee.

Scott is a regular visitor to legal teams, insurers and case management companies to advise of the latest development in prosthetic technology.

Scott is a keen sportsman, having represented England at Parabadminton and disabled golf. He made his film debut in 2015, appearing in Star Wars VII as an amputee creature named Quiggold. 

We are pleased to welcome Scott to the Unite Professionals conference where he will be talking about partial hand prosthetics solutions and introducing Naked Prosthetics.
